Every year, the Economics Department of the University of Bonn invites ambitious students from all over the world to study and to do research at the PhD level in a supportive and intellectually demanding environment. Building on a tradition of more than 25 year, our doctoral program has operated under the name of Bonn Graduate School of Economics (BGSE) since 1998. It is especially designed for highly qualified students with a strong interest in quantitative economic research. All in all, the program covers five fields in economics and business:
microeconomic theory,
management and applied microeconomics,
macroeconomics and public economics,
financial economics,
econometrics and statistics.
